AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Addition
This update also introduces the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
